Luke Baum competed on the wrestling mat at RIT from 2005-09, setting six school records, including 146 career wins to go along with a .753 winning percentage. The Ontario, N.Y. native earned All-American honors in 2009, placing fifth at the NCAA Division III Championships at 141 lbs. Baum competed in three straight NCAA Championships and was named the RIT Senior Male Athlete of the Year in 2009. That year, Baum broke the single-season school record with 42 wins, was the Empire Conference Champion in his weight class and Empire Conference Most Outstanding Wrestler. Baum, a two-time All-New York State selection, posted a 19-1 dual match mark his senior campaign. Baum was a four-time National Wrestling Coaches Association Scholar All-American.
