What SAAC Does
The RIT Student-Athletes Advisory Committee (SAAC) functions as a representative body of the student-athletes on campus. As a committee, we provide leadership opportunities and community service events for athletes and also try to foster camaraderie across athletic teams through different programs. SAAC also recognizes hardworking, dedicated athletes with awards at our athletic banquet each year. We have worked closely with Student Government over the last four years to form a partnership with the idea to create school spirit using athletics as a binding force. RIT Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is a leading entity in the Liberty League, Atlantic Hockey Association, and College Hockey America, hosting conference wide events and meetings as well as sending members to be a part of the Liberty League SAAC Executive Committee.
Tiger Den Events
SAAC is committed to making all Athletic Sporting Events a fun, loud, positive, and exciting experience for RIT Students and Student Athletes. Our goal is to build school spirit through the avenue of athletics.
SAAC sponsors Tiger Den Events for each team. Each team selects one game per season where all student-athletes will come out to support them. Teams will select a rivalry game or a conference match-up. Student-athletes create an energetic, positive atmosphere for the big game.
