Biography

PRONUNCIATION: skar-FO-nee

• Left RIT as the winningest D1-era goaltender with a 55-29-4 record...also compiled a program recrod 2,494 saves.
• Finished second with a 2.36 GAA and nine shutouts...third with 90 appearances and 88 starts.
• Single season program record 1,015 saves in 2023-24 to eclipse the previous mark of 934 he compiled 2022-23. 
• Only D1-era Tiger netminder with multiple 20-win seasons an multiple seasons with over 900 saves.
• Totaled 35 games with at least 30 saves, including five with 40 or more.

• Stopped a career-high 46 shots in 1-1 tie with St. Lawrence (Jan. 6) - one better than the 45 he made in a 4-3 OT loss to New Hampshire (Nov. 25).
• Made 43 stops in 3-2 OT loss at AIC (Dec. 8).
• 40 saves in 3-2 win at Holy Cross (Oct. 28) was a career-high in a victory

• 21 saves to preserve a 1-0 win at Princeton (Nov. 27) for first collegiate win

BEFORE RIT
• Made 43 appearances for the BCHL Surrey Eagles over two seasons, compiling a 2.50 goals against average and a .922 save percentage.
• Finished the 2020 playoffs with a 4-2 record, including a 38-save performance in Game 7 of the Eagles' 3-2 upset of the top-seeded Chilliwack Chiefs
• Finished the pandemic-shortened 2020-21 season with a 7-1-1 record while compiling a 1.85 GAA and a .930 save percentage
• Played prep hockey in 2018 and 2019 Stanstead College where he was a two-time Head Master's List honoree

PERSONAL
• Tommy Louis Scarfone was born in Montreal
• Son of Cesare Scarfone and Nathalie Arsenault, has one older brother - James
• Best advice he's received, "Stay humble, keep working hard until your opportunity presents itself. When it does, it is time to shine - and prove them wrong!"
• Credits former goalie coach Jocelyn Deschene with having the most influence on his career, along with his parents and brother
• Started playing hockey at five years-old, tried out as a goalie a year later. 
• Has worn No. 30 his entire career
• Fan of the Boston Bruins and Jordan Binnington
