Tommy Scarfone was named the Hockey Commissioners Association Goaltender of the Month, as well as the Atlantic Hockey Goaltender of the Month, Wednesday.
- Scarfone was recognized after opening the season with a 4-1 record, registering a 1.98 goals against average and a .941 save percentage.
- Scarfone backstopped a two-game sweep of previously unbeaten Holy Cross last weekend, stopping a season-high 40 shots in Saturday's 3-2 victory after making 28 saves, including five in overtime, to preserve Friday's 3-2 OT win.
- Scarfone landed the first of two Atlantic Hockey Goaltender of the Week awards after making 36 saves in a 3-0 victory over Notre Dame (Oct. 14) for his sixth-career shutout.
RIT heads to Army for an Atlantic Hockey doubleheader this Friday and Saturday (Nov. 3-4), slated to start at 7:05 p.m. and 4:05 p.m., respectively.
