ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT first-year forward Lucas Romeo was selected the Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) Rookie of the Week, announced Tuesday.
 
Romeo logged his first two collegiate assists in the Tigers 5-4 victory over visiting RPI on Saturday. He had the primary assist on what proved to be the game-winning goal with 2:53 left in regulation and also assisted the Tigers' opening goal for the first multi-point contest of his career.
 
Romeo is tied for the team lead with four points on two goals and two assists, tallying his first collegiate point with a goal at UMass (Oct. 9) as well as another versus Michigan State (Oct. 17).
 
RIT (2-4-1, 1-1-0 AHA) hits the road this weekend (Oct. 30-31) for the first of two-straight AHA doubleheaders, taking on Army Friday (7:05 p.m.) and Saturday (4:05 p.m.). The Tigers will also travel to Bentley next weekend (Nov. 6-7) for games at 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., respectively.
