ROCHESTER, N.Y. - RIT graduate student
Kobe Walker was named the Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week, while sophomore
Tommy Scarfone was voted the Goaltender of the Week and first-year forward
Simon Isabelle landed Rookie of the Week honors, Monday.
Walker notched two goals and an assist during RIT's sweep of visiting Holy Cross last week. He tied the game with a goal early in the third period and, after the Tigers fell behind, later setup the game-tying goal in Saturday's 3-2 OT win. He also scored a power play goal and blocked a pair of shots in Friday's 5-2 victory.
Scarfone backstopped both RIT victories. He made 32 saves, including 16 in the second period, in Saturday's win after making 27 stops in Friday's decision.
Isabelle extended his five-game scoring streak with three assists during the two-game set versus the Crusaders. He created a two-one-one break to setup the overtime game-winner after also logging an assist on the third-period, game-tying goal in Saturday's win. He also notched the primary assist on the opening goal 52 seconds into Friday's win.
RIT (6-2-0, 5-1-0 AHA) heads to AIC for two games this Saturday and Sunday (Nov. 5-6). Face-offs are set for 1:05 p.m. and 3:05 p.m., respectively.
