Tommy Scarfone landed All-Rookie Team honors.
Calverley landed his second-straight honor after also being named the Atlantic Hockey-West Co-Player of the Year and the Best Defensive Forward a season ago on his way to second-team All-American recognition. This year, he finished the regular season ranked first in Atlantic Hockey with 15 goals and tied for fourth with 26 points. The Hobey Baker Award nominee notched a goal and an assist in the Tigers' 3-2 OT upset at current No. 9-ranked Notre Dame (Oct. 21) after also scoring the game-winner in the 2-1 victory over St. Lawrence (Oct. 16). He scored two goals in the 3-2 win over visiting Holy Cross (Nov. 19) and notched two goals and an assist in a 4-3 setback to Army (Dec. 12) before assisting a career-high three goals in the 6-5 win at Niagara (Jan. 22).
Wilkie finished the regular season ranked third in the league with 27 points and second with 12 goals. He also notched his sixth game-winning goal of the season in the Tigers' 3-1 victory over Sacred Heart (Mar. 13) in the deciding game of the Atlantic Hockey Quarterfinal series, which is tied for the second-highest total in the country. The seven-time AHA Rookie of the Week honoree scored the game-winning goal in RIT's upset at Notre Dame and also notched the game-winner to seal the 3-2 OT win at AIC (Nov. 7). He entered the postseason tied for ninth among the nation's freshmen in scoring and tied for fourth in goals.
Scarfone is currently tied for first in Atlantic Hockey with a 2.38 goals against average and is fourth with a .922 save percentage while compiling an 8-8-1 record. He has started the Tigers' last 10 games, compiling a .936 save percentage and a 1.95 goals against average – including a .949 save percentage and a 1.27 GAA in the Sacred Heart series last weekend. He tied a career-high with 39 saves in last Friday's 1-0 OT victory over the Pioneers for his second career shutout and logged 33 saves on three other occasions down the stretch, including the 4-4 tie with AIC (Feb. 5) as well as in the 4-2 win at Niagara (Feb. 18) en route to Atlantic Hockey Goaltender of the Week honors.
RIT is scheduled to face Air Force in the Atlantic Hockey Tournament Semifinals this Friday (Mar. 18) at 7:35 p.m. at the Adirondack Bank Center in Utica, N.Y. The winner advances to play for the conference championship on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. with a berth in the NCAA Tournament on the line.
