ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Eleven RIT student-athletes were recently named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team.

Emma Pickering were Division I women's at-large selections. Seniors

On the men's side, graduate student

Josh Harkless and juniors
Logan Fletcher and
Joe Holenstein were Division III at-large selections and senior
Tyler Mahan and sophomore
Jakub Krbecek were each Division I at-large picks.
To be considered, nominees had to have achieved at least a sophomore standing and a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average while playing a prominent role on the field of competition.
A captain, Fahrny played in a career-high 34 games tallying career bests in points (14), goals (6) and assists (8). A 2025-26 Atlantic Hockey America All-Academic Team recipient, Fahrny graduated with a 3.93 GPA with a degree in exercise science.
An assistant captain, Sung played in 33 games. She won 83 faceoffs and blocked 16 shots. Sung scored a goal and won a season-high eight draws at Delaware. An AHA All-Academic selection, Sung graduates with a 4.0 GPA majoring in biomedical engineering.
Pickering was a First Team All-Atlantic Hockey America selection. A captain, she was the AHA Defender of the Month in November and was a three-time AHA Defender of the Week pick. Pickering finished third in the AHA with six power play goals and fifth with 76 blocked shots. An AHA All-Academic selection, Pickering holds a 3.85 GPA majoring in exercise science.
A Second Team IWLCA All-Empire Region selection, Jones played in 16 games recording career highs in points (34) and goals (31). A First Team All-Liberty League selection, Jones finished second on the team in scoring and was eighth in the league with 56 draw controls. The Liberty League All-Academic selections graduates with a 3.84 GPA majoring in imaging science.
Shepard was named to the 2025-26 Spring Allstate NACDA Good Works Team which recognizes student-athletes for leadership and excellence in community service. Shepard has been a consistent member of the varsity lineup, contributing to a first-place finish at the Dad Vail Regatta. A three-time CRCA National Scholar Athlete, Shepard graduates with a 3.99 GPA majoring in biochemistry.
A USILA Third Team All-American selection, Fletcher caused a career-high 32 turnovers in 22 games played. He grabbed 50 ground balls and was fourth in the Liberty League in caused turnovers while tallying five points on a goal and a career-best four assists. A Liberty League All-Academic selection, Fletcher holds a 3.82 GPA majoring in finance.
Holenstein was the recipient of the Division III Men's Lacrosse Elite Scholar-Athlete Award at the NCAA Division III national championship. A USILA First Team All-American, Holenstein grabbed a career-high 90 ground balls and caused a career-high 36 turnovers. A Liberty League All-Academic selection, he holds a 3.97 GPA majoring in mechanical engineering.
A co-captain, Hunt played in 23 games. He grabbed 14 ground balls and caused a career-high 29 turnovers, finishing third on the team. Hunt was the 2024 recipient of the Division III Men's Lacrosse Elite Scholar-Athlete Award. A Liberty League All-Academic selection, Hunt graduates with a 3.92 GPA majoring in criminal justice.
Harkless won the 285-lb. national championship at the 2026 NCAA Division III Championships. He was the SUNYAC Wrestler and Scholar Athlete of the Year and was named Division III's Most Dominant Wrestler. Harkless posted a 46-3 record and recorded a singles-season record 32 pins. A 2025 CSC Academic All-District selection, Harkless graduates with a 3.86 GPA majoring in mechanical engineering.
A Second Team All-AHA selection, Krbecek ended the season 11th in the country with 17 wins. He ranked 20th in the country with a .916 save percentage a 2.32 goals-against average. Krbecek was a Hobey Baker Award nominee and named the Richter Award Watch List. An AHA All-Academic Team selection, Krbecek holds a 3.77 GPA majoring in global business management.
A captain, Mahan recorded nine points on seven goals and two assists in 25 games. He was a 2026 Hockey Humanitarian Award nominee, Mahan scored two goals in a 5-1 win over Air Force. An AHA All-Academic team selection, Mahan graduates with a 3.93 GPA majoring in finance.
