ROCHESTER, N.Y. – RIT senior Hassan Eissa finished 14th out of 292 runners to lead the men's cross country team to an eighth-place finish at the Yellowjacket Invitational, Saturday, at Genesee Valley Park. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Eissa finished the eight-kilometer course in 26:30.0.
• Senior Ben Beaudry finished 48th with a time of 27:10.0.
• Sophomore Matt Chaikowsky (27:18.1) placed 54th, while graduate student Aleksei Bingham crossed 58th (27:20.7) and senior Richard Ellsworth (27:50.4) finished 78th to complete the Tigers' top-five.
• Freshman Evan Owens (27:59.1) and senior Ben Russell (28:11.6) rounded out the team's top-seven in 92nd and 108th, respectively.
• NYU bested the 25-team field with 39 points, followed by Division-I Buffalo (126), Ohio Northern (131), Geneseo (161), Trine (170), Rochester (189), Hamilton (225) and the Tigers (248).
