ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The RIT men's and women's cross country teams are set to host the 2025 NCAA Division III Niagara Region Championships at Genesee Valley Park on Saturday (Nov. 15).  A total of 29 teams will compete in the men's race and 28 in the women's race.

The men's race is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., followed by the women's race at 11:30 a.m.

WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY

• In last year's race, the Tigers finished eighth out of 21 teams with then-sophomore Kathryn Arbegast finishing 21st out of 156 runners.
• Eva Reilly placed 38th overall with a time of 23:36.9, as Therese Georgia came in 52nd with a clocking of 23:57.9. Abby Thomas rounded out the team scoring for RIT, placing 63rd (24:17.6)
• NYU won the event, scoring 32 points, edging out Geneseo by a mere four points. Rochester was third with 107 points, followed by Hamilton, earning fourth with 109 points.

MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY

• RIT placed fifth overall in last year's regional race with then-junior Derick Koen crossing the finish line 14th out of 170 runners, which qualified him for a spot in the NCAA Division III National Championship race.
• Evan Owens was 26th, beating out teammate Jeffrey Gibbs, who placed 28th for RIT. Brandon Blandino took 38th as Nate Flaherty placed 78th.
• Last year, NYU took first place with 29 points, beating out Geneseo by one point. Brockport placed third (86) as Hamilton was fourth (159).
