GENESEO, N.Y. – RIT graduate student Aleksei Bingham finished 25th out of 373 runners to lead the men's cross country team to a 12th-place finish at the Mike Woods Invitational on Saturday in Geneseo. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Bingham finished the eight-kilometer course in 25:40.3.
• Senior Hassan Eissa finished 49th with a time of 26:12.0.
• Sophomore Matt Chaikowsky (26:20.3) placed 56th, while freshman Evan Owens crossed 115th (27:10.5) and senior Richard Ellsworth (27:21.0) finished 124th to complete the Tigers' top-five.
• First-years Derick Koen (27:23.1) and Joe Krenzer (27:41.2) rounded out the team's top-seven in 127th and 151st, respectively.
• Case Western won the team competition with 62 points, besting host Geneseo (68), Middlebury (95), Washington and Lee (154), and Franklin Pierce (167). The Tigers finished with 314 points.
