Five Tigers named to 2025-26 NABC Honors Court

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Five members of the RIT Men's Basketball team were named to the 2025-26 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court announced on Wednesday. The Tigers also received the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award.
 
Junior guard Brody Brown, junior forward Jalen Godette, graduate student forward Jackson Otis, junior forward Nolan Smith and graduate student forward Josiah Turner were all recognized among the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
 
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize programs that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2025-26 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
 
Brown played in 25 games averaging 7.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. A Liberty League All-Academic selection, Brown finished fourth on the team in scoring and tallied a season-high 23 points against Clarkson. A 2025-26 CSC Academic All-District selection, Brown holds a 3.93 GPA majoring in finance.
 
Godette holds a 3.77 GPA majoring in astrophysics. Godette was named to the 2025-26 Liberty League All-Academic team.
 
Otis played in 19 games averaging 4.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and shot 30.4 percent from behind the arc. A Liberty League All-Academic selection, Otis tallied a season-high 11 points against St. Lawrence. Otis graduated from RIT with a 3.81 GPA majoring in mechanical engineering technology.
 
Smith played in 25 games averaging 2.3 points and 2.8 rebounds per game. He was tied for fourth on the team with 14 blocked shots. A 2025-26 Liberty League All-Academic selection, Smith holds a 3.30 GPA majoring in mechanical engineering.
 
Turner played in 25 games and led RIT averaging 14.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. A Third Team All-Liberty League selection, finished ninth in the league in scoring, fourth in rebounding and seventh in field goal percentage. Turner graduates from RIT with 3.20 GPA majoring in packaging science.
 
The Tigers finished the season with seven wins, including four in Liberty League play.
