ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Four RIT student-athletes were honored by the Liberty League with weekly honors announced by the conference, Monday (March 30).
Junior
Erich Acton was named Men's Lacrosse Offensive Performer of the Week and senior
Alex Zborowski earned Defensive Performer of the Week honors.
Jack DeFeo earned Men's Track Performer of the Week, and first-year
Cooper Bradley was named the Men's Track & Field Rookie of the Week.
Acton led RIT with nine points on seven goals and two assists in a pair of wins for the Tigers. He scored three goals and added an assist in a 15-9 win over Cortland. Acton scored four goals and added an assist in a 12-6 win at No. 18 Skidmore, Saturday.
Zborowski posted a 2-0 record, a 7.5 goals-against average and a .605 save percentage. He made 11 saves in Wednesday's 15-9 win over Cortland and made 12 saves in Saturday's 12-6 win at No. 18 Skidmore.
DeFeo posted a winning time of 1:53.38 in the 800 at the Rochester Spring Opener on Sunday. The junior's time is the second fastest in the AARTFC rankings and 15th fastest in Division III.
Bradley won the high jump at the Rochester Spring Opener on Sunday, clearing 1.99m, which is a career best. The first year currently ranks tied for fifth in the AARTFC rankings and 22nd in Division III.
