David Charney scored a career-high four goals to lead the No. 7 Tigers to a 15-9 win over Cortland, Wednesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- RIT scored the first three goals of the game, taking a 3-0 lead on senior defensive midfielder Joe Gibbons' goal with 9:11 to play in the opening quarter.
- Stefan Swedlund scored with 8:10 to play in the opening frame that cut the Tiger's lead to 3-1.
- The Tigers ran off four straight goals, taking a 7-1 lead on junior midfielder Nick DiLauro's goal with 3:19 to play in the first quarter.
- James Violi scored with 12:26 to play in the second quarter to cut RIT's lead to 7-2.
- Kuczma scored two straight goals including one with 1:12 to play in the first half to extend RIT's lead to 9-2.
- Sophomore midfielder James Corry scored off an assist from Bollinger with 10:25 to play in the third quarter to give the Tigers a 10-2 lead.
- Swedlund scored two straight goals, including one with 5:58 to play in the third that cut RIT's lead to 10-4.
- Charney scored with 2:52 to play in the third to give the Tigers an 11-4 lead.
- Cortland scored the first two goals of the fourth quarter, cutting RIT's lead to 11-6 on Nathan Nagengast's goal with 11:31 remaining.
- Acton and Charney tallied back-to-back goals midway through the quarter to give RIT a 13-6 lead.
- Swedlund and James Devine each scored to cut the Tigers lead to 13-8.
- Harkins scored off an assist from junior defensive midfielder Evan Wright before Eli Volk scored with 6:08 remaining that cut RIT's lead to 14-9.
- Acton scored with 1:22 remaining to make it a 15-9 final.
GAME NOTES:
- RIT outshot Cortland 41-32, including 32 on target.
- The Tigers went 27-of-27 on clearing attempts.
- RIT caused 12 turnovers and had 54 ground balls.
