SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – RIT junior attack
Erich Acton scored four goals to lead the No. 7 Tigers to a 12-6 win at No. 18 Skidmore, Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Holenstein and junior midfielder Nick DiLauro scored back-to-back goals to give RIT a 2-0 lead midway through the first quarter.
- Joseph Kilcannon scored to cut RIT's lead to 2-1 before David Koffler tied the game 2-2 on his goal with 6:33 remaining in the opening frame.
- Michael Aiello scored with 1:08 to play in the first quarter to give Skidmore a 3-2 lead.
- Junior long-stick midfielder Adam Wong scored off an assist from Harkins with nine minutes remaining in the second quarter to tie the game 2-2.
- Bullock gave the Tigers a 4-3 lead and Acton scored off an assist from Holenstein to give RIT a 5-3 lead with 5:46 to play in the first half.
- Harkins scored with 5:13 to play in the second quarter to increase RIT's lead to 6-3.
- Kilcannon scored his second goal of the game with 3:21 remaining in the first half to cut the Tiger's lead to 6-4.
- Rosa scored off an assist from Harkins with 9:47 to play in the third quarter to extend RIT's lead to 7-4.
- Caleb Lawson scored for the Thoroughbreds to cut the Tiger's lead to 7-5.
- Acton scored with 3:29 remaining in the third quarter to give RIT an 8-5 lead.
- Aiello cut RIT's lead to 8-6 on his goal with three seconds to play in the third quarter.
- Charney scored a man-up goal early in the fourth quarter to give RIT a 9-6 lead and Acton scored his third goal of the game with 8:03 remaining to give the Tigers a 10-6 lead.
- Acton tallied his fourth goal of the game with 2:45 to play in regulation to give RIT an 11-6 lead.
- Sophomore attack Ryan Sanders scored with 47 seconds to play to make it a 12-6 final.
GAME NOTES:
- RIT outshot Skidmore 40-34, including 28 on target.
- The Tigers went 28-of-30 on clearing attempts and won 14-of-21 faceoffs.
- RIT caused 11 turnovers and had 42 ground balls.
