BUFFALO, N.Y. – RIT junior Richard Ellsworth finished 23rd out of 119 runners to lead the Tigers to sixth place out of 12 teams at the Canisius Alumni Invitational, Saturday, at Delaware Park Golf Course.
 
Ellsworth finished the eight-kilometer course in 27:25.6, followed in 24th by senior Kyle Higby (27:32.6) in 25th.
 
Freshman Ryan Wisnewski placed 38th (28:00.0) before freshman David Martin (29:09.0) and sophomore Shivansh Kumar (29:40.2) finished 69th and 78th, respectively to round out the Tigers' top-five.
 
Geneseo won the team competition with 44 points, followed by Canisius (47), St. Bonaventure (93), Nazareth (104), Robert Morris (155) and RIT (182).
 
RIT will next compete at the Liberty League Championships on October 30th, hosted by RPI at Saratoga Spa State Park.
