Biography
2022-23:
- Ran in two cross country events, including a personal-best 28:03.1 in the 8K Canisius Alumni Classic.
2021-22:
- Ran in five cross country events, including the Liberty League Cross Country Championship.
- Ran in six indoor track events, finishing in the top three twice and the top five every time.
BEFORE RIT:
- Ran at Colgan High School.
PERSONAL:
- Full name: David Phillip Martin
- Son of Bryant and Rebecca Martin
- Says his former teammate, Bryce Lentz, has had the biggest influence on his career. Lentz, who now runs for the Air Force Academy, challenged Martin to be like him "in both running and character."
- Moved up to mid-distance and cross country running from sprints beginning in his sophomore year of high school.
- Hobbies include disc golf, ultimate, and biking.
