ROCHESTER, NY -- It was a busy weekend for RIT Athletics last week. Here is a look back to last week and a brief look ahead to another action-packed weekend of events at RIT for the week of Feb. 14, 2017. For more information, check out

Women's Basketball: (15-8, 8-6 Liberty League)
Last Week: RIT went 1-0 last week, defeating Union 80-50. Junior
Jessica Glaz (Rockaway Beach, NY/Scholars Academy) became the eighth player in program history to score 1,000 career points, tallying 24 on Tuesday. Glaz scored 20 of her 24 points in the second half, including 17 in the third quarter. She reached the milestone with a 3-pointer with 8:32 to play in the fourth quarter. Glaz joins teammate
Ashlynn Palmitesso (Fulton, NY/G. Ray Bodley) who reached the 1,000-point mark on Jan. 28.
RIT outscored Union 31-16 in the third quarter to break the game open.
Taylor Burns (Rochester, NY/Greece Odyssey) tied her career high with 21 points, including 15 in the first half. Palmitesso added 15 points and led the Tigers with nine rebounds.

Honors and Recognition:

This Week: RIT enters this week locked in a three-way tie with Vassar and Union for the fourth and final spot in the Liberty League Tournament. The Tigers play at William Smith College at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, and host Union College at 6 p.m. to wrap up the regular season. The Tigers will honor its Class of 2017 prior to Friday's game. Â

Last Week: Â RIT lost 71-70 at Union on Tuesday. Junior
Troy Pierre-Louis (Providence, RI/Berkshire School) led the Tigers with a career-high 32 points.
Robert Aguilera (Webster, NY/Webster Thomas) chipped in 14 points, while
Mitch Herman (Webster, NY/Webster Schroeder) grabbed nine rebounds.

This Week: RIT plays twice this week. Wednesday, the Tigers face Hobart College at 8 p.m. The Tigers host Union College on Saturday at 4 p.m. The Tigers will honor the class off 2017 prior to Friday's tip-off.

Women's Hockey: (6-22-2, 4-10-2 College Hockey America)
Last Week: Â RIT lost a pair of College Hockey America road contests over the weekend at nationally ranked Robert Morris. Friday, the Tigers lost 4-1. Kendall Cornine scored RIT's lone goal off an assist from Lindsay Stenason. Jenna de Jonge made 34 saves in net. Saturday, Cornine scored both RIT goals in a 5-2 loss to the Colonials. Claudia Black dished out a pair of assists.

This Week: RIT plays a home-and-home series with Syracuse University. Friday, the Tigers host the Orange at 2:05 p.m., while Saturday's game in Syracuse, N.Y. starts at 3 p.m. These two teams played to a 2-2 tie back on Dec. 2 in Syracuse. The Orange beat the Tigers 3-0 the next day at the Gene Polisseni Center.

Men's Hockey: (12-18-1, 12-13-0 Atlantic Hockey Conference)
Last Week: RIT split a pair of Atlantic Hockey Conference home games last weekend. Friday, RIT lost 4-0 to Holy Cross. Shots on goal was 27-26 in favor of RIT. Saturday, Adam Brubacher scored 1:08 into overtime to give the Tigers a 2-1 win. Erik Brown scored RIT's first goal, while Liam Kerins dished out a pair of assists. Mike Rotolo got the win in net, making 27 saves.

This Week: RIT hosts No. 19 Air Force Academy for a pair of Atlantic Hockey Conference games. Both games get underway at 7:05 p.m. at the Gene Polisseni Center. Saturday, RIT will honor its seven seniors as they appear in their final regular season home game at the Polisseni Center.

Wrestling (8-6):
Last Week: RIT went 1-1in dual matches last week. The Tigers defeated Penn College of Technology, 47-4. RIT posted wins in all but one weight-class on Friday. Saturday, the Tigers lost 27-17 at SUNY Oneonta. Winners included

Dempsey King (New Hartford, NY/New Hartford),
Nicholas Greenquist (Spring Lake, NJ/St. Rose) and
Tory Cain (Ontario, NY/Wayne).

This Week: RIT competes next at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships hosted by York College beginning on Feb. 25-26. The top three finishers from each weight class heads to the NCAA Championships.
Women's Indoor Track and Field:
Last Week: For the first time since joining in 2011, the RIT won the Liberty League Indoor Track and Field Championships at Gordon Field House Saturday afternoon. The Tigers beat out Rensselaer with a team score of 206 points. Senior
Jess Calzolari (Longmont, CO/Mead) was named Female Field Athlete of the Meet after winning two events, while placing second and fourth in other events.

Men's Indoor Track and Field:
Last Week: RIT placed second at the 2017 Liberty League Indoor Track and Field Championships hosted by RIT at Gordon Field House Saturday. The Tigers finished second out of four teams with a team score of 192 points.
Matthew Lienhard (Allentown, PA/Allentown Catholic) won the 60-meter dash in a Liberty League-record time of 7.00 seconds.
Daniel Giuliano (Ledgewood, NJ/Roxbury) won the long jump with a leap of 6.93 meters.
Nick Ng (Wayland, MA/Wayland) won the triple jump (13.56 meters), and was third in the long jump (6.72 meters). RIT dominated in the pole vault, sweeping the top five places.
Austin White (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) won the event with a jump of 4.40 meters.

Last Week: RIT opened the 2017 Spring portion of its schedule by dropping a 9-0 decision at the University of Rochester on Saturday. RIT's third doubles team of
Ian Dansereau (Ludlow, MA/Ludlow) and Patrick Matthews battled hard before falling to Sahaj Somani and Tanmay Thakkar, 8-4.
