ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT (men's swimming and diving team improved to 2-2 in dual meets with a 178-112 win over SUNY Fredonia (0-2) Saturday afternoon from the Judson Pool. It was RIT's second straight win.
 
In the 200-yard medley relay, RIT swept the first four spots. Nicholas Genovese (Lincoln, MA/Lincoln-Sudbury), John Stelmack (Toccoa, GA/Stephens County), Eric Moss (Irvington, NY/Irvington), and Jason Cook (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) finished first with a time of 1:41.28. The team of Scott Brink (Quincy, MA/Boston College), Michael Lue (Bayside, NY/Queens High School for Sciences), Tom Regan (Hollis, NH/Hollis Brookline) and Spencer Hall (Plattsburgh, NY/Plattsburgh) were second (1:46.15), and Foster West (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Walter Panas), Thomas Richter, Nick Graca and Tomer Artzi (Framingham, MA/Framingham) were third (1:46.90).
 
Adam Reitz (Hilton, NY/Hilton) finished second in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11.02.21, while Andrew Rearson (Dresher, PA/Upper Dublin) finished fourth in a time of 11:22.15. RIT took the top three spots in the 200-yard freestyle; Moss was first in 1:52.34, Jimmy Antonelli finished second in 1:53.15 and Tyler Allen (Newark, NY/Newark) took third in 1:53.59.
 
RIT took the top three spots in the 100-yard backstroke as well. Tom Regan (Hollis, NH/Hollis Brookline) finished first in 59.82, Scott Brink (Quincy, MA/Boston College) was second with a time of 1:00.09, and Foster West (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Walter Panas) was third in 1:01.52.
 
In the 100-yard backstroke Lue was first with a time of 1:03.87, Thomas Richter was second with a time of 1:05.95, and Jerry Brushafer (Dansville, NY/Lima Christian) was third finishing in 1:06.68. Spencer Hall (Plattsburgh, NY/Plattsburgh) finished third in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:11.37.
 
Genovese won the 50-yard freestyle in 22.05, Mark Truskinovsky (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville North) took third (23.24). Cook was the first place finisher in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 49.36. In the 200-yard backstroke RIT took top-three, Genovese was first (2:07.98), Scott Brink (Quincy, MA/Boston College) was second (2:11.70) and Tyler Schwarz (Stanley, NY/Marcus Whitman) was third (2:14.49).
 
Thomas Richter, Brushafer and Lue finished top-three in the 200-yard breaststroke. Richter finished in 2:25.55. Justin Morris (Holliston, MA/Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School) was first in the 500-yard freestyle (5:07.30) and Antonelli was third (5:16.57).
 
In the 100-yard butterfly Carl Schlehr (Maineville, OH/Kings) and Ward finished in a tie for second with a time of 56.17. 
 
In diving action, Alex Dieroff (Syracuse, NY/Jamesville-Dewitt) took second in the 3-meter with a score of 273.20 and the 1-meter with a score of 277.30. Ben Hamilton (Addison, NY/Addison) finished third in the 3-meter event with a score of 263.55 and the 1-meter platform with a score of 264.85.
 
RIT returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 4 when the Tigers face St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y. beginning at 1 p.m.
