Albanese and Tomsheck earn Liberty League end of year awards

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Junior diver Luke Albanese and first-year swimmer Griffin Tomsheck have earned Liberty League men's swimming & diving major awards, announced Thursday.

Albanese has been named the Diver of the Year, while Tomsheck has been named the Rookie of the Year.

After winning the 1-Meter and placing second in the 3-Meter at the Liberty League Championships, Albanese earned Second Team All-America honors with a pair of 10th-place finishes at the NCAA Division III National Championships.

As a first-year, Tomsheck put together a strong performance at the conference championship meet by winning the 100 and 200 Breaststroke events. The newcomer also placed fifth in the 200 IM and swam a leg in the 400 Medley Relay that took second place.
