Men's tennis plays well, but drops close match to St. Lawrence

CANTON, NY -
The RIT men's tennis team (4-9) played one of its best matches of the 2013 season, but came up short, falling to St. Lawrence by a score of 6-3 on Sunday afternoon.

The second doubles duo of Clayton Tontarksi and Kevin Layer (Clarence, NY/Clarence) defeated St. Lawrence's John Megas and Rob Schmitz by a score of 8-4. At second singles, Chandler Daub (Kailua-Kona, HI/Kealakehe) defeated Megas 7-6, 6-2. Neville Billimoria picked up RIT's third point, defeating Rhonny Rosario at third singles by a score of 6-4, 6-3.

RIT is back in action on Wednesday, with a home match against Nazareth that gets underway at 4 p.m.
