ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT (6-13, 2-8 Liberty League) men's basketball team fell short, losing to Skidmore College (14-6, 8-3 Liberty League) 72-58 in Liberty League action from Calrk Gym Friday night. RIT Head Coach

Freshman #J.P. Reagan# scored a career high 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor to lead the Tigers. He added six rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal.
Eric Travis (Chicago,IL/Hinsdale South) tallied 12 points, while
Jameel Balenton (Syracuse, NY/Christian Brothers) added 11 points for the Tigers who shot 37.9 percent from the floor on 22-of-58 shooting. The Tigers went 6-of-16 from behind the arc and were 8-of-10 from the foul line.
Aldin Medunjanin led Skidmore with 16 points, nine rebounds, six assists and a block. Tanner Brooks tallied 18 points, on 6-of-12 shooting, including four three pointers. The Thoroughbreds shot 48 percent from the floor on 24-of-50 shooting. Skidmore was 11-of-24 from three point land and were 13-of-16 from the charity stripe.
Leading 13-12 at the 12:17 mark of the first half, RIT went scoreless over a 6:39 stretch, falling behind 13 points on a three pointer by Eric Lowry with 5:27 to play in the opening half.
RIT got the lead down to seven, capping off a 10-3 run on a three pointer by Balenton with :41 seconds to play. Connor Merrill drained a three pointer with eight seconds to play in the half giving Skidmore a 37-27 halftime advantage.
The Tigers opened the second half on a 10-5 run, cutting Skidmore's lead to 42-37 on a jumper by Reagan.
The Thoroughbreds got the lead back to nie points by Reagan and
Desmond Scott (Murphy, TX/Plano East) cut Skidmore's lead back to six points with 12:25 to play.
The Tigers got the score down to six on two separate occasions on a pair of free throws and a bucket from Travis.
That would be as close as the Tigers would get in the second half as the Thorughbreds built their lead back to 14 points.
RIT returns to action on Saturday, Feb. 2 when the Tigers host Rensselaer at 4 pm. Come cheer on the Coach McVean and the Tigers as they go for McVean's 500th career win.
