ITHACA, NY -- The RIT men's tennis team were defeated by Ithaca 5-2 in the semifinals of the Empire 8 Men's Tennis Tournament hosted by Ithaca College. The Tigers finished the season 7-7.

RIT started off with wins at the second and third doubles positions. Neville Bilimoria (Mumbai/Schiller International) and Larry Hall (Fairport, NY/Fairport) defeated David Andersen and Josh Bergrun 9-8 at second doubles. Amos Babtiste and Max Bogue (Colchester, VT/Colchester) defeated Dan Levine and Kyle Riether 8-3 at third doubles.

Ithaca rallied back to win four consecutive singles matches and clinch the victory. Hall and Baptiste's singles matches were called due to weather.
