Men's basketball improves to 2-0 with win at Baptist Bible College

LANCASTER, PA -- Three Tigers scored in double figures as the RIT men's basketball team improved to 2-0 on the season with an 77-73 win over Bible Baptist College in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

Junior Kurt Fenderbosch (Myrtle Beach, SC/Socastee) led the Tigers with 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting, including three-of-4 from behind the arc.

Brendan harder (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) added 15 points, and grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds. Junior Gabe Nicasio (Essex Junction, VT/Essex) chipped in with 11 for RIT who shot 50.0 percent from the floor.

Justin Heisig (Levittown, NY/Island Trees) added nine points, Sean Sweeney (Phelps, NY/Geneva) scored eight points, and Nick Dobson (Corning, NY/Corning West) tallied seven points for the Tigers.

The Tigers were 7-of-17 from behind the three point line, including 6-of-8 in the second half. RIT went 20-of-24 from the foul line and forced the Defenders into 15 turnovers, while committing only nine on the game.

RIT returns to action on Wednesday, Nov. 30 when the Tigers begin play in the 46th Annual Wendy's College Classic, the nation's longest running in-season Division III tournament. The Tigers have won the classic seven times.
