Tigers playoff hopes still alive

HOBOKEN, NJ -- The RIT (14-11, 10-6 E8) men's basketball team kept their Empire 8 tournament hopes alive on Sunday with a 91-75 win at Stevens on Sunday. The Tigers finish the regular season with a six-game winning streak and have won 11 of their last 12.

The Tigers came out firing in the first half, shooting 67.7 percent from the floor, led 50-44 and never looked back.

RIT shot 61.1 percent from the floor on the game on 33-of-54 shooting. The Tigers made 8-of-17 three pointers and went 17-of-23 from the foul line.

Brendan Harder (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) turned in another dominating performance scoring 24 points. He was 9-of-12 from the floor, and 5-of-6 from the foul line while grabbing seven rebounds and making three steals.

Junior Anthony Terry (Rochester, NY/Bishop Kearney) added 21 points and senior Scott Young (Almond, NY/Hornell) added 11 points. Darryl Anderson (San Diego, CA/Southwest) was 4-of-4 from the floor scoring 11 points.

RIT awaits their Empire 8 tournament which will be determined on Tuesday.
