Harder has another dominating performance

ELMIRA, NY -- The RIT men's basketball team beat Empire 8 rival Elmira College (3-18) 73-58 on Friday night. Sophomore center Brendan Harder (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) led the Tigers with 24 points and eight rebounds. The win improves RIT to 10-11 overall on the season and 6-6 in the Empire 8.

RIT opened up a 20-point lead at the half, shooting 48.3 percent from the floor on 14-of-29 shooting. The Tigers made only one three pointer but were 13-of-18 from the charity stripe.

The Tigers shot 40 percent from the floor on the game and were 6-of-15, including five in the second half, from three point land.

Harder turned his second straight dominating performance of the week scoring a game-high 24 points. He was 10-of-15 from the field and 4-of-5 from the foul line. He also had eight rebounds, two steals and block and an assist.

Anthony Terry (Rochester, NY/Bishop Kearney) scored 12 points for the Tigers while Scott Young (Almond, NY/Hornell) chipped in nine points and five rebounds. Nate Korinchak (Strongsville, OH/Strongsville) scored seven points, dished out four assists and had a pair of steals.

RIT will host Utica College on Saturday afternoon, February 13 at 4pm.
