The Tigers won the battle of the boards, 51-31 and were 14-for-17 (82.4 percent) from the free-throw line. The Tigers shot just 34 percent from the field.

RIT shot just 35.5 percent from the field in the opening half, but out-rebounded St. John Fisher 23-14 and forced 11 Cardinals turnovers.

RIT last allowed less than 36 points in a game in 1950-51, when they beat the Ontario Aggies, 96-25.

Carson was a monster in the first half, scoring 14 points to go along with 10 boards, five steals and a pair of blocks. Young and Harder chipped in with five first-half boards apiece.
