SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The RIT men's tennis team competed at the ITA Northeast Regional Championships.
 
DOUBLES:

• Juniors Yu Tanimoto and Alexander Sinclair beat Samjay Rajkumar and Maximus Martin (Vassar), 8-5 in their opening match before an 8-6 loss to Charles Sternberg and Martin Dimitro (Hamilton).
• Sophomores Trent Sauer and Evan Ly won a pair of matches in the "B" Doubles fight. They beat Liam Rieger and Andrew Balsamo, 8-2 in their opening match. Sauer and Ly defeated Logan Knasiak and Mateus Vasconcellos (TCNJ), 8-6 in the quarterfinals before an 8-3 loss to Ignas Grusnius and Kenn Wijesekava (NYU) in the semifinals.

 
SINGLES:

• Tanimoto defeated Alton Swan (Skidmore) 5-7, 7-5 (10-5) in his opening match.
• He defeated Martin Dimitrov (Hamilton) 6-3, 6-2 before a 5-7, 4-6 loss to Eddie Zeng (Vassar) in the round of 16.
