WEST POINT, N.Y. – The RIT Men's Hockey team dropped a 6-2 Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) decision at Army, Friday.
Army scored the lone goal of the first period before out-scoring the Tigers 2-1 in the second and 3-1 in the third en route to the victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Following a Tiger hooking penalty, Army's Ben Ivey scored on a shot from the point through a crowded crease at 14:44 of the first.
RIT tied the game at 4:44 of the second. Senior defenseman

Kevin Scott and whipped a wrist shot into the top left corner of the Army goal from the left faceoff circle.
Army retook the lead with another power play goal at 7:07 after Billy Batten took a pass outside the left post and slipped a puck across the low slot to Barron Woodring for a finish inside the right post.
The Black Knights took a 3-1 lead at 16:05 after Adam Marshall scored on a shot from the point through traffic.

Army answered again with another power play goal at 9:52. The Black Knights won an offensive zone faceoff and cycled a puck to Lukas McCloskey and the point, who sent a puck to Marshall in the right faceoff circle for a one-timer inside the near post.
Army built a three-goal lead at 13:56 after Ben Ivey scored on a wrist shot in the slot and later tacked on an empty-netter with 2:29 left to complete the victory.
GAME NOTES
- First-year forward Zach Wigle won 16-of-24 faceoffs while logging his team-leading 21st point and 15th assist.
- Brimmer was credited with his 13th assist this season.
- RIT out-shot Army, 13-9, in the first period, but the Black Knights came back to finish with a 34-32 advantage.
- Lapointe notched his first goal of the season, becoming the 18th Tiger to find the net, before Allen netted his first to become the 19th.
- Senior defenseman Gustav Blom logged his first assist of the season, becoming the 23rd Tiger to score a point this winter.
- Sophomore goaltender Jakub Krbecek ended the game with 28 saves.
- Army finished 3-for-4 on the power play while the Tigers were 0-for-3.
