ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The RIT women's track & field finished in fifth place out of eight teams in the Liberty League Indoor Championships, Saturday.
 
RIT scored a total of 41.33 points and moved up one spot after finishing the first day of competition in sixth place.
 
Ithaca won the team title with 212 points as Rochester finished in second with 163.33 points, followed by RPI in third with 95.33 points.
 
SATURDAY HIGHLIGHTS

• Senior sprinter/jumper Rachel Kulp placed second in the 60m finals (7.78 seconds) and finished seventh in the 200m (26.31 seconds).
• In the finals of the 60m hurdles, senior Rania Sabri took fifth place with a time of 9.20 seconds. Sabri also earned sixth place in the triple jump with a distance of 10.91m.
• First-year thrower Nora Tighe placed fifth in the weight throw with a mark of 14.70m.

 
FRIDAY HIGHLIGHTS

• Kulp ran the fastest time in the 60m prelims (7.74 seconds) while also taking third place in the long jump with a leap of 5.65m.
• Sabri qualified for the 60m hurdles finals after placing sixth in the prelims with a time of 9.26 seconds.
• The Distance Medley Relay team took third place with a combined time of 12:36.68.
