CANTON, N.Y. – The RIT women's track & field team finished the Liberty League Championships in fifth place, Saturday.
 
The Tigers scored 73 points as Ithaca won the meet with 213 points. Vassar finished third (147.5) with RPI coming in fourth (125).
 
FRIDAY HIGHLIGHTS

• Senior Rachel Kulp placed third in the 100m with a time of 12.18 seconds a day after finishing the prelims with a meet and program record time of 12.02.
• In the 400m hurdles finals, senior Samantha Crisci earned third place with a 1:05.66 clocking.
• First-year thrower Christella Leukeu took second in the shot put with a throw of 13.32m.

 
FRIDAY HIGHLIGHTS

• Junior Mia Gerber won the javelin after throwing 35.81m on her third attempt. Teammates Hannah Madell took seventh (31.26m) as Autumn Bernava placed eighth (31.22m). Bernava also placed third in the hammer throw (48.89m).
• Kulp set a meet and program record with a time of 12.02 in the 100m prelims.  Kulp also placed sixth (25.36) in the 200m prelims to advance to both finals tomorrow. The sprinter/jumper also placed sixth in the long jump with a distance of 5.31m.
• In the 100m Hurdles, senior Rania Sabri came in eighth with a 15.50 clocking.
• Junior Eva Reilly and senior Rachel Ladd took fourth and seventh, respectively, in the 3,000m Steeplechase.
