FREDONIA, N.Y. – Junior Spencer Buff finished sixth out of 147 runners to lead the RIT men's cross country team to a third-place finish out of 13 teams at Fredonia's Kara Hall Memorial Invitational, Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Buff finished in a time of 26:28.5, ahead of sophomore Luca Strangis in 15th (26:57.5).
- Senior Zachary Sowers finished 17th with a time of 26:58.9 with sophomore Matthew Monnes crossing the line 20th in 27:09.7.
- First-year Dylan Walsh rounded out the Tigers' scoring five, placing 37th in 27:40.1.
- First-year Benjamin Arbegast placed 38th (27:41.0) ahead of junior Benicio Benzan in 39th (27:41.5) to complete the top-seven.
- SUNY Geneseo won the meet with 43 points, followed by Ithaca (78), RIT (90), Oneonta (133) and Utica (160) in the top-five.
