GENESEO, N.Y. – Senior thrower
Emily DiMarco won the discus and took fifth place in the shot put to lead the RIT women's track & field team at Geneseo's Early Season Invitational, Saturday.
In the discus, DiMarco threw a season-best 41.71m to win the event. The senior also placed fifth in the shot put with a distance of 11.74m as teammate
Marinna Heichberger placed third with a throw of 11.96m.
Sophomore
Mia Gerber recorded a personal record of 33.18m in the javelin to finish in fifth place.
On the track, senior
Caroline Hill recorded a regional qualifying time of 1:05.02 in the 400m hurdles, in addition to anchoring the 4x400m relay team to a third-place finish.
Sophomore distance runner
Eva Reilly ran the 3,000m steeplechase in 12:38.56, coming in fifth overall.
