ROCHESTER, N.Y. - RIT first-year Jessica Majot was named Liberty League Softball Rookie of the Week, announced Monday, March 27.

Majot only allowed one run in 14.0 innings of work last week. She threw a complete-game shutout in last Tuesday's 0-0 tie with Oswego, scattering seven hits and striking out four over seven innings before the game was called due to darkness. Majot then held Elmira to three hits and one run while striking out five over seven innings in Saturday's 8-1 win.
