ROCHESTER, N.Y. - RIT senior Ben Beaudry finished ninth to lead the men's cross country team to a third-place finish at the Fourth Annual St. John Fisher Terry Rodenbeck Invitational, Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Beaudry finished the six-kilometer course in 19:59.0, just over 10 seconds ahead of Tiger sophomore Matt Chaikowsky in 11th (20:02.5)
• First-year Evan Owens finished 19th in 20:39.0 before seniors Richard Ellsworth (20:42.6) and Ben Russell (20:46.5) completed the Tigers' top-five in 21st and 24th, respectively.
• Sophomore Ryan Wisniewski (20:51.5) and first-year Joe Krenzer (20:57.7) rounded out the Tigers' top-seven in 26th and 28th, respectively.
• Geneseo won the team title with 17 points, followed by Nazareth (61), RIT (71), the host Cardinals (88), Hobart (158), and Corning CC (185).

RIT is scheduled to compete at the University of Rochester Yellowjacket Invitational at Genesee Valley Park next Saturday (Sept. 17) at 11:45 a.m.
