ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Three RIT student-athletes were honored by the Liberty League with Player of the Week recognition, announced Monday, October 31.
Senior midfielder
Maddy Bullis and first-year forward
Elena Onodera were named Liberty Women's Soccer Offensive Performer and Rookie of the Week, while Sophomore Right Side
Liv Benard was named Liberty League Volleyball Performer of the Week.
Bullis recorded a goal and added an assist in the Tigers 4-0 win over Union in Saturday's regular season finale. The senior midfielder gave RIT a lead on her goal in the 3rd minute, and assisted on
Sam Halligan's goal in the 25th minute. Bullis played 90 minutes in the Tigers loss to Ithaca, Tuesday.
Onodera scored her fourth goal of the season in RIT's 4-0 win over Union, Saturday. The first-year forward tallied in the 40th minute off an assist from
Natalie Faiola and
Olivia Harris to extend the Tigers lead to 3-0.
Benard led the Tigers to a 3-0 week, averaging 4.91 kills/set and 3.09 digs/set. She notched career-highs of 28 kills and 20 digs in Friday's five-set victory at Skidmore before adding 12 kills in a sweep of Potsdam and 14 kills and 13 digs in a sweep of Plattsburgh on Saturday.
