POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – RIT graduate student
Aleksei Bingham finished 15th out of 109 runners to lead the men's cross country team to fourth place out of nine teams at the Liberty League Cross Country Championships in Poughkeepsie, Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bingham finished the eight-kilometer course in 25:42.2, just ahead of senior teammate Hassan Eissa (25:46.6) in 16th.
- Sophomore Matt Chaikowsky finished 17th (25:48.3), senior Ben Beaudry crossed 19th (25:53.8), and first-year Evan Owens placed 31st (26:48.1) to round out the Tigers' top-five.
- Bingham, Eissa, Chaikowsky, and Beaudry all earned All-Liberty League Honorable Mentions with their finishes.
- First-years Joe Krenzer (26:58.9) and Derick Koen (27:07.0) rounded out RIT's top-seven, finishing 37th and 39th, respectively.
- RPI won the team competition with 18 points, followed by St. Lawrence (71), Vassar (80), the Tigers (83), and Ithaca (130).

The Tigers will run in the NCAA Division III Niagara Region Championships hosted by the University of Rochester at Genesee Valley Park on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 12:00 P.M.
