Max Chang (Leesburg, VA/Bishop O'Connell) joined junior
Tomas Reese (Victor, NY/Delaware Valley) in straight set wins in singles play leading the RIT men's tennis team to a 6-3 victory over visiting Daemen in the RIT Field House Wednesday afternoon.
Movva defeated Luis Devuyst with a pair of 6-1 sets at second singles, while Berko bested Phillip Vance, 6-2, 7-6, in third singles. Chang was a 7-6, 6-1 victor over Sam Greco in fifth singles and Reese beat Jayven Williamson in sixth singles, 6-1, 6-0.
In doubles action, senior
Jake Wolicki (Canton, MA/Canton) and graduate student
Jacob Meyerson (Cranston, RI/Cranston West) were 8-1 winners over Devuyst and Zachary Laplante in second doubles, while senior
Carter Casimir (Lewisburg, PA/Lewisburg Area) and sophomore
Ethan Martin (Pearland, TX/Glenda Dawson) took an 8-3 win in third doubles against Vance and Ross Belen.
RIT returns to action in the ITA Regional Championships at Hobart on Friday, Oct. 1 through Sunday, Oct. 3.
