ROCHESTER, NY – The RIT men's tennis team (3-6) fell to host University of Rochester (3-6) by a score of 7-2 from the Goergen Athletic Center on Friday afternoon.
Ben Lynaugh (Fairport, NY/Fairport) led the way for the Tigers, helping secure both points. He began the day by teaming with
Nick Lim (West Caldwell, NJ/West Caldwell) to earn an 8-6 win over Sahaj Somani and Yifan Shen at second doubles. At second singles, Lynuagh earned a straight-set win by identical 6-4 scores over Tanmay Thakkar.
Rochester would secure the other seven points. Masaru Fujimaki and Peter Huang were victories in both singles and doubles matches for the Yellowjackets.
RIT is back in action on March 24 with a home match against Oswego State from the Gordon Field House that gets underway at 4 p.m.
