ROCHESTER, NY – The RIT men's tennis team (2-4) held a lead after doubles play, but ultimately fell to Division II Roberts Wesleyan College (5-1), 6-3 at the Midtown Athletic Club on Sunday afternoon.

Ben Lynaugh (Fairport, NY/Fairport) was the lone Tiger to win both a singles and doubles match. He began the day by partnering with
Nick Lim (West Caldwell, NJ/West Caldwell) to earn an 8-4 win over Dennis Barlotta and Guido Janssen at third doubles. Lynaugh exceled at second singles, recording a 6-2, 6-3 straight set win over Andrew Freeman.
Jacob Meyerson (Cranston, RI/Cranston West) and
Mac Yang Li (Montreal, Quebec/IMG Academy) gave the Tigers a 2-0 lead in the match with an 8-4 victory over Freeman and Dustin Eshleman at second doubles.
Down 3-2 in the match, Roberts Wesleyan took the final four singles competitions to earn the victory.
RIT returns to action next Sunday, Feb. 25, as Liberty League rival Rensselaer comes to the Midtown Athletic Club for a 1 p.m. match.
