TROY, NY – The RIT men's tennis team (1-7, 1-3 Liberty League) dropped a Liberty League match on the road at Rensselaer (6-5, 2-1 Liberty League), 9-0 on Sunday morning.
The Engineers took all three doubles matches, two of which came by 8-6 scores. RIT's first doubles team of
Chandler Daub (Kailua-Kona, HI/Kealakehe) and
Ben Lynaugh (Fairport, NY/Fairport), along with the third doubles duo of
Roger Peckham (Westlake, OH/Lake Ridge Academy) and Ian Danserau came up just short.
From there, Rensselaer won all six singles matches by straight set scores.
RIT is back in action on Saturday with a pair of matches at Case Western Reserve University. RIT will take on the hosts at 9 a.m. and face Ohio Wesleyan University at 12 p.m.
