ROCHESTER, NY – The RIT men's tennis team (1-6) was blanked by Division II Le Moyne College (7-5) 9-0 at RIT Tennis Courts on Sunday afternoon. It was the spring home opener for the Tigers.
 
RIT's first doubles team of Chandler Daub (Kailua-Kona, HI/Kealakehe) and Ben Lynaugh (Fairport, NY/Fairport) waged a strong battle with Le Moyne's Philip Blythe and Hallam Doney. The two teams were tied at 8-8 entering the tiebreaker before Blythe and Doney earned the decisive point with an 8-6 win.
 
Roger Peckham (Westlake, OH/Lake Ridge Academy) and Ian Danserau were solid in their third doubles match against Tyler Underwood and James Gayvert before falling, 9-7.
 
The Dolphins would win all six singles matches in straight sets to record the shutout.
 
The Tigers are back in action next Sunday, April 9 with a road contest at Liberty League rival Rensselaer that gets underway at 9 a.m.
