GENEVA, NY - The RIT men's tennis team (2-10, 2-4 Liberty League) suffered a 9-0 loss at Liberty League foe Hobart College (9-4, 2-1 Liberty League) on Wednesday afternoon.
The Statesmen took all three doubles matches to open play and swept singles play.
At sixth singles,
Roger Peckham (Westlake, OH/Lake Ridge Academy) battled to a decisive third set before falling to Jake Criss. Criss won the first set, 6-1, before Peckham won set two, 6-2. Criss won an sensational tiebreaker third set, 15-13.
RIT is back in action this weekend, as Skidmore College comes to campus for a 1 p.m. match on Saturday and Oneonta State arrives for a 1 p.m. contest on Sunday.
