CANTON, NY — The RIT men's tennis team (0-4, 0-2 Liberty League) fell 5-4 in its second league action of the season at St. Lawrence (2-1, 1-0 LL) at Newell Field House.

The Saints won all three doubles matches by scores of 8-5, 8-2, and 8-3, before RIT mounted a comeback in the singles matches.

Chandler Daub (Kailua-Kona, HI/Kealakehe), Patrick Matthews, and Michael Peters (New Hope, PA/Holy Ghost Prep) won their singles matches in three sets, while Ben Lynaugh (Fairport, NY/Fairport) won in straight sets. It wasn't enough, however, as Jared Ingoglia (Essex Fells, NJ/West Essex Regional) and Spencer Lowitt (Syosset, NY/Syosset) dropped their matches in between, giving St. Lawrence the narrow 5-4 victory.

The Tigers are back in action on Sunday for more Liberty League action at home against Union. The teams will battle at 2 p.m. from Mendon Racquet Club.
