CANTON, NY – The RIT women's swimming and diving team (4-1) extended its winning streak to four after a 150-90 win over St. Lawrence University (2-1) at Augsbury Pool on Saturday afternoon.
Six different swimmers won individual events for the Tigers.
Sedera Zbranak (Austin, TX/Lake Travis) won a pair of races, first the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:00.96 and then the 500-free by nearly 10 seconds in 5:20.95.
Katrina Mayer (Bristol, VT/Vergennes Union) won the 50-free in 26 seconds flat, while Emily Lederman took the 100-free by just under a second in a time of 56.79 seconds. Lederman was also second in the 200-yard individual medley (2:20.02).
Olivia Phillips (Louisville, CO/Fairview) annexed the 200-fly by just over a second in a time of 2:15.66, while Brenna Woodling nipped teammate Eleanor O'Gorman by 34 one-hundredths of a second in the 200-backstroke, crossing the finish line in 2:16.77.
Amy Adams (Erie, PA/Collegiate Academy) defeated Mayer by just over two seconds in the 200-backstroke, crossing the finish line in 2:34.40.
Adeline Maykish (Caldwell, NJ/Caldwell) was second in the 1,000-free (11:28.95).
The Tigers opened the meet by earning 15 points in the 200-yard medley relay. The quartet of Zbranak, Adams, Phillips and
Daylen Smith (Lockwood, NY/Waverly) cruised to a three-second win with a time of 1:53.54. O'Gorman, Mayer, Megan Hawkes and Rachel Charette were second in 1:56.91.
On the diving board, Alaiya Tuntemeke swept both events, winning the 1-meter with a score of 211.60 and took the 3-meter by three points over teammate
Patsy Hayes (San Jose, CA/Abraham Lincoln) with a score of 217.45. Hayes was also third in the 1-meter.
The Tigers are back home on Saturday, Nov. 11 for a dual meet against Le Moyne College that gets underway at 1 p.m.
