Biography
2018-19: competed at the NCAA Championships for the second time in three years … took home the league titles in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke… broke the school record in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:22.35) at the 2019 Liberty League Championship … part of record-setting 200-yard medley relay team (1:44.41) to earn All-Liberty League First Team honors … was part of record-setting 400-yard medley relay team (3:51.61) that earned All-Liberty League Second Team accolades … competed at the NCAA Championship … was part of the 400-yard medley relay team (3:51.61) that broke the school record at the NCAA Championships … finished fifth on the team with 232 points … finished tied for third on the team with 14 victories … recorded five second place finishes … was the RIT Female Athlete of the Week on Feb. 25 … named a CSCAA Scholar All-American … earned Liberty League All-Academic Team honors for maintaining at least a 3.30 grade-point average
2017-18: Competed in several short and middle-distance events … took first at the Liberty League Championship in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:04.48 … was fifth at the league championships in the 200-yard breaststroke … won 16 events and finished in the top-three 20 times … part of two record-setting relay teams, the 200-yard medley relay (1:45.16) and 400-yard medley relay (3:54.78), set at the Liberty League Championships … earned Liberty League All-Academic Team honors for maintaining a 3.30 grade-point average.
2016-17: Competed in several short and middle distance events … represented RIT at the 2017 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships, recording a personal best time of 24.87 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle preliminaries on day one and just missing All-American status by three spots and 21 one-hundredths of a second … broke her own school mark with a time of 1:03.66 and her own school record in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:25.04, while being part of two record-setting relay teams at the 2017 UNYSCSA Championships in Ithaca from Feb. 15-18 … won six events and placed in the top three in 15 … named to the Liberty League All-Academic Team.
2015-16: Competed in several short and middle distance events … set RIT individual record times in the 100-yard (1:05.46) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:25.26) at the UNYSCSA Championships … also set a new RIT record with Olivia Phillips, Genna Senecal and Sarah Evans in both the 200-yard (1:49.51) and 400-yard medley relay (3:59.88) … won four events and placed in the top five nine times … also set personal bests in the 100-yard freestyle (1:00.56) and 200-yard individual medley (2:14.09) … named the RIT Female Athlete of the Week, Feb. 22.
Before RIT: Swam at the Northwest PA Collegiate Academy ... won Rookie of the Year award in 2011 ... won the Nate Lemock Sportsmanship award in 2012 ... team captain in the 2013-14 and 2014-15 seasons ... school record holder in the 100-yard freestyle, 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard medley relay, 200-yard freestyle relay, and 400-yard freestyle relay ... was a PIAA State qualifier in 2015, the first swimmer from the program to do so in 32 years.
Personal: 3-D animation major … daughter of Mary and Richard Adams … has two sisters, Karyn and Julia.
