Zach Zachowski of men's track and field finishes ninth at 2015 NYSCTC Decathlon

ROCHESTER, NY -
Sophomore Zach Zachowski (Sweetwater, NJ/Cedar Creek) of the RIT men's track and field team finished ninth with 4,267 points at the 2015 NYSCTC Decathlon held at Fauver Stadium on the campus of the University of Rochester on Sunday, April 26 and Monday, April 27.

Devin Cornelius of St. John Fisher won with 6,053 points. On Sunday, Zachowski was second in the 400-meters (52.54 seconds), fourth in the 100-meters (11.86 meters), sixth in the long jump (5.80 meters), eighth in the shot put (7.75 meters), and ninth in the high jump (1.58 meters).

On Monday, Zachowski was eighth in the 110-meter hurdles, seventh in the discus (24.58 meters), did not score in the pole vault,was fifth in the javelin (37.76 meters), and eighth in the 1,500-meter run (5:02.60).

The Tigers compete in the 2015 NYSCTC Championship from St. Lawrence University on Friday, May 1 and Saturday, May 2.
