PITTSFORD, NY – The Flower City Tournament came to an end for the RIT men's tennis team (1-2), who fell to Oneonta State, 7-2 on Sunday morning. RIT places fourth at the season-opening tournament.
In the doubles rounds, it was
Amos Baptiste (Brooklyn, NY/Midwood) and
Chandler Daub (Kailua-Kona, HI/Kealakehe) who paired up to earn a point for the Tigers today.
RIT had their work cut out for them heading into the singles matches. Freshman
Andrew Reiley (Manorville, NY/Eastport South Manor) earned RIT's lone win, defeating Oneonta's Ryohei Nakamura in straight sets 6-1, 6-3.
Oneonta swept the rest of the singles for the day to grab the win and third place.
RIT (1-2) will travel to Canton N.Y., to participate in the St. Lawrence Fall Classic on Sept. 14-15.
