Men's tennis drops tough match at Hamilton

CLINTON, NY - The RIT men's tennis team (4-8) fell to Hamilton College (7-1) by a score of 7-2 at Scott Field House in a non-conference contest on Saturday afternoon.

Max Bogue (Colchester, VT/Colchester) was RIT's lone singles winner at the six position, losing the first set 6-2 before rallying to win the final two, 6-4, and 6-3. The second doubles team of Amos Baptiste (Brooklyn, NY/Midwood) and Neville Bilimoria (Mumbai/Schiller International) picked up an 8-5 win.

The Tigers return to action on Saturday with a Liberty League tussle at Hobart. The match gets underway at 1 p.m.

1. Drew Libin (H) d. Clayton Tontarski (Rochester, NY/Rush-Henrietta) 6-1, 6-0.
2. Jon Franzel (H) d. Neville Bilimoria (Mumbai/Schiller International) 6-2, 6-4.
3. Jordan Petit (H) d. Amos Baptiste (Brooklyn, NY/Midwood) 6-2, 6-0.
4. Matt Billet (H) d. Marc Lachance (Fairport, NY/Fairport) 6-2, 6-2. 
5. Ben Swett (H) d. Hall 6-4, 6-3.
6. Max Bogue (Colchester, VT/Colchester) (RIT) d. Kolya Kerz 2-6, 6-4, 6-3.

DOUBLES
1. Libin/Franzel (H) d. Tontarski/Hall 8-3.
2. Baptiste/Bilimoria (RIT) d. Petit/Swett 8-5.
3. Buck Reynolds/Billet (H) d. Jake Stocker (Cassville, NY/Sauquoit Valley)/Frank McGinn 8-2.
