Sisti continues scoring punch with third goal in two games

ROCHESTER, NY -- The RIT women's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw at the University of Rochester on Thursday night. Junior Kim Sisti (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) scored RIT's only goal as the Tigers improve to 6-1-1 on the season.

After a scoreless first half, Sisti broke through in the 60th minute with a shot from eight yards out to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead. The goal was the third in two games for Sisti who now has three on the season which leads the team.

Rochester's Ellen Coleman tied the game at 1-1 in the 72nd minute. She received a pass down the left side of the field from fellow teammate Rachel Wesley and would go the distance to score on the far side of the net.

Rochester out shot RIT 13-6 and took 11 corner kicks to three for the Tigers. RIT's Ashley Valenti (Honeoye Falls, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima) played an outstanding game in net for the Tigers, allowing one goal and making 12 saves.

RIT, ranked tenth in the East Region, is off until Wednesday, September 29 when they face Alfred Univeristy in Empire 8 action. Kick-off in Alfred, New York is at 7 pm.
